Netra Sekam, also known as Netra Dhara, is a specialized Panchakarma therapy performed to cleanse, nourish, and rejuvenate the eyes. In this procedure, medicated herbal liquids are gently poured over the closed eyelids in a thin, continuous stream from a height of approximately 4 Angulas (about 4 inches) for a specific duration.
The herbal decoctions used are carefully selected based on the patient’s condition, strength, and the severity of the eye disorder. This therapy helps to reduce pain, inflammation, and Kapha-related imbalances, offering both preventive and curative benefits for various eye ailments.
