Thalam
Thalam is an Ayurvedic therapy where a herbal paste is applied to the scalp to calm the mind and balance Pitta and Vata doshas. It is effective for stress, insomnia, migraines, and neurological conditions.
Thalam treatment is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy in which a medicated herbal paste is applied to the head, and warm, medicated oil is gently poured in a steady stream onto the forehead. This therapy is similar to Thalapothichil, but instead of covering the entire head with herbal paste, a small quantity of oil is concentrated at a specific point on the crown of the head.
This focused application helps to cool and calm the nervous system, reduce burning sensations on the skin, improve vision, and balance Pitta dosha—often responsible for headaches and heat-related discomforts.
